I could have gone either way on that.
Sarcasm can be a delicious addition to any discussion when employed prudently and wry, deadpan style.
Slightly difficult to abide by that criteria through the written post. Mr B. could/should have recorded his sarcastic outpourings and foisted them upon teh forum for us all to enjoy in all it's deadpan glory.
Or he could've used blue text, but those of us that have been around him for a length of time are able to discern certain sarcastic cadences in his text. Perhaps if you asked him nicely, he'd be able to edit and highlight those passages deemed sarcastic thus nullifying any further confusion.
I'm not at all confused. At least I think I am not. Wait, what?
Blue text has been used as a highlighting thang for text containing sarcasm to show others the intentions of the poster.
TBH I've only every seen Mr. B use it...
It was more widespread a few years back. But everyone else grew up or moved on.
Was it just sarcasm that got highlighted, what about other things like spite?
Just sarcasm IIRC. I don't recall spite.
I get it. Doesn't it seem more appropriate though to use blue text for expletives?
