Is this really the world's ugliest building?

That's quite an atmospheric picture of the place, which does a lot to hide its concrete hideousness.
This is what it looks like in the true light of day:

It looked pretty bad during construction (what building doesn't though?!) but I think it looks quite good now it's finished...on the outside at least!

That's no building. It's an alien spacecraft that focuses our sun into a death ray.

I wonder if there's actually anything inside it, or whether they just stuck some glass to the outside and are pretending it's finished?

You sure they weren't going for the rustic, shabby chic look?

I have two mates going on a North Korea tour early next year (we still have no idea why) and that's one of the stops on the tour. That building is the only thing that really interests me about the country, well that and dog noodles.

A telecoms company got the rights to put antennas on it if they finished the outside. The inside might be finished at some point, according to the North Koreans, but a survey a few years ago said that the entire thing was unstable.
tl;dr: don't stay there.
